AP Moller hopeful on sale
AP Moller-Maersk hopes to wrap up a sale of its eight-vessel LNG shipping arm shortly.Chief Executive Nils Andersen claimed plenty of interest has been shown in the company, which was put on the block earlier this year.
Speaking after AP Moller rolled out stronger than forecast first-half numbers, he said: "The LNG market is excellent at the moment so there is no shortage of interested people. "But of course things like this take time and we need to go through all the processes to hopefully conclude a deal in the not too distant future."
Maersk is seeking offers in the range of $1.7bn. Final bids are expected by at the end of this month.
