Uno de mis "informadores" me ha mandado la siguiente noticia que aparece en la página web de Knutsen:
New LNG-contract largest ever 21.02.2007
Knutsen OAS Shipping is rewarded a long term time charters with the Spanish energy company Repsol for two LNG new buildings. The two vessels will be delivered from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) in South Korea in 2010. Both are secured 20 years employment with 5 respectively 15 years options.
The ships’ capacities will be 173 000 cbm. At the same time, the option for a third ship, also due to be delivered in 2010, was declared. We intend to operate at least two of the LNG carriers with Norwegian officers. The purpose is to trade the ships from South America, and to Spain.
The three LNG tankers are larger than the LNG tankers operated by the company today. It is the propulsion system that stands for the biggest difference. The new ships will all be delivered with diesel-electric propulsion.
The contract Knutsen OAS signed with Repsol is the largest single contract in the company history.
Parece que se va aclarando la cosa con respecto a los contratos de Repsol.
